March Madness Music Festival 2026

Date:

While the spotlight on the court is fixed on the “Road to the Final Four,” the streets of Indianapolis are prepping for a different kind of madness. The 2026 NCAA March Madness Music Festival is officially taking over the American Legion Mall from April 3–5, transforming the city into a three-day epicenter of free live music and championship energy.

This year’s festival is particularly special as Indianapolis becomes the first city to host the Division I, II, and III championships and the NIT all in the same weekend. Here is everything you need to know to navigate the noise.

2026 Performance Lineup & Schedule

The festival is divided into three distinct themed days, each headlined by heavy hitters across alternative, country, and pop genres.

Date Event Name Headliner Supporting Acts
Friday, April 3 AT&T Block Party Twenty One Pilots keshi, Joey Valence & Brae
Saturday, April 4 Coca-Cola LIVE! Zac Brown Band Ravyn Lenae, BRELAND
Sunday, April 5 Capital One JamFest Megan Moroney Dominic Fike + Surprise Guest

Note: The final headliner for Sunday night is traditionally a massive surprise revealed just days before the event. Past “secret” acts have included the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Rihanna.

Venue & Access: What to Know Before You Go

The festival is located at the American Legion Mall (700 N. Pennsylvania St.), just a short walk from the primary fan activations at the Indiana Convention Center.

  • Cost: The event is completely free, but it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the venue reaches capacity, they will utilize a “one-in, one-out” policy.

  • Gate Times:

    • Friday: 4:30 PM – 10:00 PM

    • Saturday: 3:30 PM – 10:00 PM

    • Sunday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

  • Pro-Tip for Cardholders: If you’re a Capital One cardmember, you can access a priority entry lane and the exclusive Cardholder Lounge. AT&T customers can similarly look for the “Fast Lane” by showing their account status on the MyAT&T app.

Why Indy is the Place to Be

Indianapolis is often called the “Cradle of Basketball,” but for 2026, it’s doubling as a massive multi-genre concert venue. Because all four major men’s college basketball trophies will be handed out in the same city this week, the “fan-to-visitor” ratio is expected to be at an all-time high.

Aside from the music, fans can head over to Georgia Street for the “Tailgate Tip-Off” watch parties or visit Lucas Oil Stadium on Friday, April 3rd, for “Final Four Friday”—where you can watch the remaining teams’ open practices for free before the concerts begin.

The Verdict

Whether you’re in town to scout the next generation of NBA talent or just want to catch a free Zac Brown Band set under the Indy skyline, the 2026 Music Festival is the “can’t-miss” cultural anchor of the weekend.
